About Me:

And everything comes to One,
As we dance on, dance on, dance on.
- Theodore Roethke

“Having flung aside the sword, there is nothing except the cup of love to offer those who oppose me. It is by offering that cup that I expect to draw them close to me.”

“The master travels all day without leaving home”  - Tao Te Ching

“If we could read the secret history of our enemies we would find in each man's life a sorrow and suffering enough to disarm all hostility” - Henry Wadsworth Longfellow

I am a satyagrahi dedicated to spreading the teachings of nonviolence. There is no higher power than truth and nonviolence. I believe our pain is sacred and contains the power of the entire universe. Our wounds and shadows are truth and thus to extend a hand to them is our duty. We must also extend our hand to all of those wounded, even those whom create injustice. Compassion must not discriminate. Spiritual activists must work just as hard to generate love as we do to stop hatred.

I am the first on the dancefloor and the last to leave. Is it possible to dance forever? I am a long-time activist and peace maker who is always seeking the reconciliation and friendship of any 'opponent.' I love all things blue. I must yell, sing, scream or chant or I will loose my cookies. I love groovy things. I am here to serve others. There is a fire burning in me and I will never stop. I have a rage that fuels my passion for peace and justice.  I have vision for this world.

During the day I work at a nonprofit called Toolworks where I work with who are differently abled with Autism and Down's syndrome - in my free time I am working for social justice and passionately organizing against the Iraq War with Medea Benjamin of CODEPINK and the Iraq Moratorium.

I attended the California Institute of Integral Studies in 06-07 and studied Cultural Anthropology. This was an interesting combination with my psychology and philosophy background in undergraduate.  Now I am taking a year off to work and will pursue a Masters of Divinity in an interfaith theological graduate program in Berkeley next fall. My main interest is in nonviolence, communication, social change and spiritual activism.

I recently produced “In His Own Words: War, Peace and Poverty” an Audio CD with selections highlighting the more radical side of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr’s speeches and sermons. The noted author and historian Howard Zinn reviewed the album and called the CD, “Quite wonderful and truly Inspiring.”
